About Pat Lorenzo

Patricia and her husband Joe have lived in Blue Bell for over 30 years. They have four grown children and six grandchildren. Born and raised in Queens, New York, the oldest of six children, she graduated from St. John’s University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance. She developed her strong work ethic working in her father’s floral business. Throughout her career she worked for a number of financial institutions in Manhattan. As Assistant Treasurer Trust Officer she managed significantly complex financial relationships with numerous fortune 500 companies. She is currently semi-retired while managing a local dental office.

Patricia has always been an active member of the community. She has served as a volunteer and team leader with many local organizations, including St Helena Church and School, Boys and Girl Scouts, Whitpain Recreational Association, Wissahickon School District special education, Art Goes to School, St. Patrick’s Food Pantry and Samaritan Ministry. In 2012 she successfully advocated on behalf of her family and local residents opposing construction of a commercial sized property within a residential/agricultural neighborhood, a proposal that was subsequently rejected.

Patricia brings significant leadership and administrative skills and has been successful in collaborating with fellow committee or board members, working together to find effective solutions to complex challenges. She is an excellent communicator, and her background in financial services gave her valuable experience in budgeting and financial management.

As a longtime, civically engaged resident, Pat’s goal is to represent all community members. She is keenly aware that borrow and spend is a consistent theme, creating a financial condition that is wholly unsustainable. The township incumbent leaders have shown no creative leadership regarding development planning, or attracting and maintaining new sources of revenue. There is no clear direction for managing increasing traffic congestion as a response to ongoing development. Further aggravating these issues, the township supervisors continue to support current and proposed development of high-density housing despite residents’ objections. Open spaces and parks are critical to the fabric of the community as is pedestrian safety. Pat is committed to being fully engaged to represent all the residents of Whitpain Township bringing strong leadership to fiscal responsibility and the planning and prioritization of initiatives that are in the best interests of the citizens.
