About Tom Homan
Tom Homan has lived in Ambler for over forty years. He and his wife are parents of two sons and three grandchildren. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University, and before retiring recently, spent his career in a variety of engineering roles with domestic and international corporations focused on power, infrastructure, and building automation.

Tom has always been heavily involved in the local community through a variety of service and leadership roles. He served as track and field coach for the middle and high school, Secretary of Whitpain Recreation Association (WRA), and coach for WRA’s basketball, soccer, and baseball programs. He is a leader in his local church, with Philmont Christian Academy, and with Boys Brigade (similar to Boy Scouts).
As with so many, Tom is concerned with the partisanship and lack of civility with local leaders. He supports open, civil dialogue within the Borough Council and outside. He believes in fiscal responsibility, making effective use of taxpayer dollars. He wants to make sure that critical municipal resources are fully supported, including police, ambulance, and fire. Tom is committed to ensuring that local youth sports programs are supported, along with compassion organizations, such as Mattie Dixon Food Cupboard.
Tom is an longtime, engaged, civic-minded Ambler resident who wants to work collaboratively with the borough council to serve and honorably represent the community.
